Nike has released three generations of the HyperKO boxing shoe. They share the same high-top silhouette, but each one is built differently. Here's what changes between the HyperKO 1, HyperKO 2 and HyperKO 3 – and which one suits you.
Nike HyperKO 1 – the classic lockdown boot
The original HyperKO uses Flywire cables through the midfoot and a forefoot strap to lock the foot down. It has a structured, supportive feel and comes in the widest range of colourways, from red-corner and blue-corner amateur builds to black and gold fight-night versions.
Choose it if: you want maximum support, a proven design and the most colour options.
Nike HyperKO 2 – knit comfort with a built-in cuff
The HyperKO 2 switches to a Flyknit upper with an integrated ankle cuff, so the collar hugs the ankle like a sock. A split sole lets the forefoot and heel flex independently for smoother pivots.
Choose it if: you want high-top support with a softer, more sock-like feel.
Nike HyperKO 3 – the lightest HyperKO
The HyperKO 3 is Nike's lightest boxing shoe, at around 10.2 oz. It adds a Super Critical Foam footbed for responsive cushioning, a lace garage that tucks the laces away and an ankle lace-holder. The HyperKO 3 SE is a special-edition version on the same platform.
Choose it if: you want the lightest, most modern HyperKO with extra cushioning.
